A big part of this product is to form a housing for the components. We want a housing that could be 3D printed and have a finish that represents a finished product more than a prototype. In striving for a iconic expression we drew some concepts and came up with an organic form thats suits the purpose of the dispenser, being an easy accessible device placed on kitchen countertop. We ended up with a form inspired by eva solo’s crooked wine glasses.
With the form in mind we thought of the dimensions so the components could fit in the housing and started the CAD-drawing in PTC Creo Parametric 3.0
Now we need to make exact measurements for the components eg. the display, the stirrer and the weight plate.
